Quick squid post.

27 Sep

From Deep-Sea News (which I found through the always wonderful Pharyngula and is my new favorite thing ever), I bring you Colossal Squid:

Also, I would be completely remiss in my librarian duties if I did not mention that it is Banned Books Week. You should celebrate for me since I don’t have time to read for sport.

Oh, come on. I’m SURE the Lemony Snicket books have been banned. You can spare time for a re-read.

We have no time to read for fun! It is a sad sad shame!

Morgan, I haven’t even read Book the Eleventh yet! I’ve had it since Christmas. I’m in a sorry (non-school) book reading state.

Huh. No time to read for pleasure? This is not something I understand. Possibly because I have never been a particularly good student.
I am now attempting to force myself to become so, however, and have BEGUN THE LATIN.

    Now we are declining nouns.
Holy shit. It’s like math. For once I have to pay attention to the STRUCTURE and ENDINGS of words, instead of just letting their meanings dance across my brain. Um. This will be good for me, right??
