New photos.

03 Oct

I was beginning to get depressed with only those lonely cat toys in my finished projects album. So I put up a new Pre-Blog photo album. It will likely grow as I discover more pictures. But it makes me feel better. And that’s what counts.

I will now be returning to The Book Before Printing.

are you doing an MLS or doing a PhD? I am just doing the MLS and MA in History right now, but I hope to get the PhD in Book History one day… I can’t tell you how cool it is to meet someone with the SAME interests!! 🙂

I’m doing a general MLS (technically I will have an MSIS). I’ll probably be looking for jobs in reference or museums come spring, but I’m taking all the book history courses I can while I’m here. I don’t have the energy for any more school right now, but that’s great that you’re going for the PhD. I’m definitely planning on expanding my library based on the suggested reading lists.

Yeah, we’ll see about the PhD. With the dual masters, I see myself needing a nice long break. I will finish my MLS next summer, and my MA in Euro History in Spring 2007… if all goes as planned! I took a great behind-the-scenes class this past summer where we visited SO many museums, archives and libraries in DC. Smithsonians, National Gallery of Art, LoC… it was amazing. I am hoping to work at one of them 🙂

I understand that break concept. I’m just about totally done, though my mom thinks I might be back for more in the future. That behind the scenes class sounds great. My museums class is much more experienced on the visitor’s perspective, then discussing what we can infer from what we noticed.
