NASA has made a whole bunch of images of the moon available through some open source software.

“NASA has mated 1.8 million images beamed back from the lunar Clementine spacecraft with lunar elevation data available to users of its free, 3-D World Wind software, which previously only allowed people to virtually fly around and explore Earth in unprecedented ways…. Armchair explorers can use their mouse to fly around, zoom in and out of craters and tilt the images to swoop through the moonscape.”  Read the rest of the Discovery article here.

Check out the NASA site here.

Discovery Channel also has cool pictures from Hubble.
