I still owe about 30 hours of work to my professor, but all the school work is done and handed in and graded. Also, I’ve sold 2 sets of stitchmarkers! I’m so excited! And tired. And need to find a job. But that starts tomorrow. Today is for relaxing. Posting should pick up shortly.

Hey Master of Information Science, welcome to the club, I’ve been a Master of the Art of Secondary Teaching for almost a decade. Did you get your secret handshake and decoder ring? =) Get some sleep. I did that for about a week before I started looking for work. And then? did I use my MA? I worked at Bookshop Santa Cruz. Which was FUN! I highly recommend it. /THEN/ I went off and did that “career” thing.

Hooray! Missy, we’re so proud of you! I do think you should change your title to Master of Information.

Hey congratulations! I was in the class of 2000 for my MSLS (UNC-Chapel Hill). It is a great feeling. I second the advice about picking the first job carefully, if you can, however, I took a chance and lived in Wichita, Kansas, for two years after graduating. It was not easy to make friends or even find very many like-minded people there, but the experience was well worth it. I got to run a whole department and the salary was good, and I think it made getting a better job a lot easier later on.
Also, have fun with that Etsy shop! If all else fails maybe you can live on that income 😉
