No, no, look harder!
OK, I know you can’t really see it, but that’s my avocado seed, and it’s sprouting!

WOW! I’ve tried to sprout avocado stones but never got as far as you, you must have a green thumb. I was thinking of you today and wondering if you ever found a use for the brown hemp I sent you? It should be enough to knit a tank top, and apparently hemp gets nice and soft the more you wash it. But please don’t ask about my knitting stash or whether I’ve actually finished anything lately!(hee hee)

The yarn’s current use is taunting me from it’s pretty basket. 😉 I haven’t done any knitting in ages! Or cooking, or weaving, or sewing, or embroidery. I’ve been fairly useless. But I have been playing with the puppy! Which has been my plan. Shawn has been on tour and my plan was to not put any stress on myself about how much I was going to get done while he’s gone. I really need to get back to Drunken Argyle. But rest assured, your gorgeous yarn will definitely get put to good use. A tank top sounds like a great idea. I’ll probably look for a slightly fancy pattern to go with my work skirts.

I guess I’m really lucky. I had a gardener friend out last week to work in our yard and she found a 3 ft tall avocado tree sprouting from under the back deck. Must have been from a pit someone chucked out there.
