Just in time for Halloween….

02 Oct

I bring you Zombie Pug!

mashtiPoor little thing did need surgery, but she’s taking it like a champ and the doctor says everything went super smoothly. Now we just have to figure out how to pin her down four times a day for her drops. Shawn is pretty sure it’s the most challenging thing he’s ever done in his life. I’m inclined to agree. (Pills, not a problem, she seems to think they’re candy. Drops, nigh impossible.)

Also – It’s not nearly done, but it looks like it is. Here’s the top part of my quilt! Still up: figuring out how to get the back to be the same size, cutting the batting, and, you know, actually quilting it.

If you have a big enough, clean enough floor, my mom would always lay the backing down on the floor and tape it down with some masking tape. Then she’d put the batting down, then the quilt over that. Next we’d all be on our hands and knees pinning it all together. I don’t think mom worried about sizing the backing until after the quilting part was done. She’d trim it off at the end.
I hope your baby gets better soon! Isn’t it funny how dogs just love pills, but anything else… they’ll have nothing of it!
